Schedule and Fees for Fingerprinting

The Redding Police Department will fingerprint any resident, Town of Redding Employee or prospective employee or other person who is required to be fingerprinted for employment and works or resides in the Town of Redding, at the following times:
6:45 am – 7:15 am
2:45 pm – 3:15 pm
10:45 pm – 11:15pm
Should any person listed above need to be fingerprinted outside of these times, an appointment must be made by calling the on duty supervisor (938-3400)
If there is an incident that necessitates an immediate police response, and no other officer is available for fingerprinting, the appointment will have to be rescheduled.
Redding Residents & Redding/Region 9 BOE Employees: $5.00
Non-Residents: $10.00
Fees for Other Services:
Records Check (Town of Redding only): $10.00
Letters of Good Conduct: $20.00
Police Reports: $1.00 per page. (Photos – additional charge)

The Redding Police Department received a grant from the Connecticut Department of Transportation – Highway Safety Section – to increase and supplement existing DUI enforcement efforts during the holiday weekend, a program knows as, “Over the Limit…Under Arrest”. As a result of the increased activity 4 DUI arrests were made over the Labor Day weekend.

Additional Charges:
The Redding Police Department made over 130 motor vehicle stops, and in addition to the DWI arrests, charged 4 people with Operating with a Suspended License, 7 with Operating Without a License, and 10 people with Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicles. “These are all individuals who should not have been on the road in the first place and these enforcement efforts by Redding Police Officers as well as officers across the region, helped to ensure that motorists traveling during this holiday weekend were able to reach their destinations safely.”

As we approuch the Labor Day holiday weekend, The Redding Police will be out in force, adding extra patrols designed strickly to focus on tracking down and stopping drunk drivers.
Thanks to funding provided by the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation, extra officers will be on patrol in marked and un-marked cruisers.
Update: 4 DUI arrests have already been made by officers involved in this program.
Radar patrols increased for the start of school
Redding Police are conducting extra radar patrols in various town locations for the start of the school year. As a reminder to parents, it is important to sit down with your teenage driver to help explain and understand the new driving laws in Connecitcut. These laws, if violated, come with some stiff penalties.
